I just don't get how people can get that violent over something that simple. Then they all get pissed off about war and what not. Come on now. I'm just pissed off I guess by some people's actions. I'm sick and tired of fake people. Sick of people talking shit about everyone else. Let alone people they call their FRIENDS. If they were your fucking friends why would you be talking shit about them? I don't understand it. I see it everywhere. Why can't people just be nice? Why can't they be fucking respectful. NO they can't. No one is ever good enough for anyone. Either someones too FAT or too SKINNY or too UGLY or too ANYTHING. It's ridiculous. People are so mean. I get made fun of by people I don't even know, and by people I THOUGHT were my friends. HA. And I know I'm not the only person this has ever happened to. I'm just sick of it. I'm sick of being walked on by everyone. I've seen it all too much. On a personal level too, and I'm not putting up with it anymore.

It's very sad to announce this:
Ladies and gentlemen, the rumors are true. After ten years, close to a hundred recorded songs and several trips around the world, The Get Up Kids will be playing their last shows this summer. We're celebrating the release of our as-of-yet-untitled live record and we're coming around one final time. We'll be playing gigs in the west, in the east and in the middle of the US. Our very last show will be in Kansas City, MO (our hometown) Fourth of July weekend 2005.
As a group we'd like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting us over the years. Whether we slept on your floor in '97 or you drove all the way to Lawrence to see us play in '05, we are forever grateful. We feel it's best to let the last ten years speak as a document for what the band was. We can look back and say that we are proud of everything that we accomplished. In the end, we will always remember this as a good time; we hope that you remember it that way too.

The Early November has a new demo out on purevolume called Decoration.
It's not bad. They also posted a demo version of Every Night's Another Story (From 2001) They still have the newer demo Five Years up too. Their new cd should be out mid this year.
